This book explores the artwork “En-Bola-Atados” by Colombian artist, Ana Isabel Diez. The piece is a series of therapeutical artistic actions where women who have suffered abuse, tear fabrics, tie the shreds into a ball, and write a reflection on what they let go in this cathartic process. In order to communicate the complexity of the project, I selected five main texts, commissioned or recovered, to make up the publication. They were written by people from various fields who used different tonalities to refer to the artwork. Between these voices, I placed the voices of the women through their testimonies and full bleed images of the balls they created. The book also comes with a piece of fabric and a tag so that the reader can experience the artistic action and its force.
