"What Remains After the Sun" is a poetry book with illustrations by Sara Márquez Jaramillo. The poems were written from 2017-2020 and deal mainly with the heartbreak and healing process the author went through during this time. They were published in the order they were written in order to show how even though this process may sometimes seem to go backwards, time always goes forward, and every feeling and experience is a step towards recovery. For this reason, the time and hour the poems were written were an important element of the design. Also, for the layout, the idea was to maintain the classical structure of poetry books but play around with spacing and the direction of elements such as the chapter title and dates to give it more dynamism.
